Trainee Sports Coach Vacancies

We are seeking individuals who are highly motivated, enthusiastic and professional with a passion for sports coaching, alongside an attitude to going the extra mile and exceeding expectations.  

Job Summary 

Candidates will initially be supporting in the delivery of sport and physical activities to children and young people, both in school curriculum time following the PE National Curriculum, activities before school, at lunch times, after school and at weekends. Although we deliver various sports across the curriculum we do specialise in table tennis so an interest or previous playing experience would be favourable.    

The successful applicant will be required to: 

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of physical activity sessions. 
  • Develop and inspire young people to live and lead active lifestyles. 
  • Assist in the production of accurate assessments and reports on children and young people’s progress. 
  • Have existing knowledge of the school PE National Curriculum (Desirable). 

Desired skills 

  • Basic computer skills 
  • Reliable with strong time management 
  • Self-motivated and have a passion for teaching/coaching 
  • Previous experience of physical activity delivery would be highly beneficial 
  • Demonstrate and articulate that they have a clear passion and drive to inspire young people through sport and physical activity. 
  • Meet outcomes and results with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on expectations for high quality standards. 
  • Critically assess own performance in a mature and credible manner 
  • Be reliable, tolerant and determined. 
  • Articulate themselves in a professional well-presented manner at all times.

Desired qualifications 

  • 5 GCSE's grade A-C or equivalent. 
  • Any relevant sport qualifications (Desirable) 

Qualifications you will gain

  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education and School Sport 
  • Safeguarding & Protecting Children 
  • Associated NGB Qualifications 

Job Type: Trainee, leading on to a full apprenticeship 

Required licence or certification: Driving Licence
