We are running our Level 2 qualification in First aid at work on Friday 20th April which covers your mandatory training responsibility as an employer.

This qualification is designed to provide your staff with knowledge of the basic first aid practices including managing unresponsive casualties.

We are also running the Basic Drug and Alcohol awareness session on Thursday 19th April. This session is suitable for anybody working with or potentially working with people who may have issues with drugs or alcohol use.

Are your employers ready for the changes to National Minimum Wage in April?

From next week, the National Minimum Wage will go up for Apprentices, so if you haven’t already, you may want to speak to any employers you have Apprentices with to let them know.

Learner celebration evening underwayThe Derbyshire Network hosted their first learner celebration evening last night, to recognise the achievements of our learners across our Business Admin, ECDL and personal development courses.

FE Week has reported that, Effective immediately, The Association of Employment and Learning Providers has washed its hands of the Education and Training Foundation, claiming it is “no longer an organisation run by the FE sector for the sector”.

“We don’t feel the programme being proposed and funded by the DfE supports our membership,” said AELP boss Mark Dawe, who insisted the ETF “can’t have its ownership cake and eat it”.
