DBC Training are launching their exciting new project ‘EMPLOY Local’ tomorrow and would like to see you there! The project has 2 elements to upskill and retrain unemployed individuals living in Derbyshire with an aim to progress them back into employment and training.  DBC and partners offer a wide range of training and skills and will showcase these on the day.

The launch event begins at 8:00am tomorrow morning, Wednesday 14th December, with coffee and registration with presentations commencing at 8.30am to showcase this fantastic new programme.

The Awards ceremony took place on Thursday 24th November to celebrate Mansfield & Ashfield's best in business.

Over 150 guests attended the event held at the John Fretwell Sporting Complex to celebrate the 13 awards handed to the worthy winners and Highly Commended finalists.

D2N2 is the LEP for the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area and works with Government, businesses, local authorities, skills and training providers and community and voluntary organisations to grow its areas economy, with the aim of creating 55,000 new jobs in ten years (2013-2023).

As part of this, D2N2 has an allocation of €250m European Structural and Investment Funds, which is released in sections at regular intervals, with ‘calls’ for potential projects run by organisations to bid for the money.
