As we enter 2017 and begin to work through implementation of the Levy, mandatory employer contributions and delivering the new standards to name but a few, we will be doing our best to support our members through the changes.

With this in mind, the first members meeting of the year will be in the form of a round table discussion between The Derbyshire Network and its’ members around the future of sub-contracting apprenticeships post May and how this could potentially work.

Have you taken part in the SFA apprenticeship readiness self-assessment survey yet? 

If you are an apprenticeship provider, the survey will help you understand what you need to do to prepare for the apprenticeship reforms in May 2017.

Completing the survey will show you how ready you are for the reforms and the results will also help the SFA identify any further support providers might need, to make sure you can provide apprenticeships to employers paying the levy and those accessing the co-investment model.

The Derbyshire Network member EMA Training are celebrating their first successful learner progressing from a Traineeship to an Apprenticeship.

DBC Training are launching their exciting new project ‘EMPLOY Local’ tomorrow and would like to see you there! The project has 2 elements to upskill and retrain unemployed individuals living in Derbyshire with an aim to progress them back into employment and training.  DBC and partners offer a wide range of training and skills and will showcase these on the day.

The launch event begins at 8:00am tomorrow morning, Wednesday 14th December, with coffee and registration with presentations commencing at 8.30am to showcase this fantastic new programme.
