The Derbyshire Network are please to introduce the newest member of our team. Chloe has been with us now for a few months and we thought the time was right to get some of her thoughts on how she is finding her BUsiness Administration Apprenticeship with TDN.
Level 3 Business Administration
What made you choose an apprenticeship?
I chose an apprenticeship because I found college wasn’t for me. Although, I passed my AS Levels I wanted to be in an environment where I could gain the skills and training for the real world rather than a classroom. An apprenticeship offered this training whilst gaining a qualification in the process which was ideal for me. I realised I could still have a good career without going to university etc.
What do you enjoy most about your apprenticeship?
I like that I’m going to work whilst still gaining a qualification and on top of this getting a wage. I have a lot of support around me, so I am comfortable when learning new things and asking for support. I like that I get an insight to everyone’s position within the office and can use this to decide what I want to do when my apprenticeship is finished.
What would you like to do once your apprenticeship has finished?
Right now I am unsure if I would like to go on to a course within a different area of business or whether I would like to carry on in administration full time.
What advice would you give anyone thinking about an apprenticeship?
If you’re more practical and don’t enjoy studying etc, then an apprenticeship might be for you. You get paid whilst gaining your desired qualification. However, it is a real job and you need to be dedicated and committed to the job role.
